Liquid Flow Screed
For commercial buildings it's important to adhere to standards governing floor levels especially if there's a large expanse of wet underfloor heating planned.
Commercial buildings require a level floor which is guaranteed by self levelling products such as liquid flow screed as it's the screed of choice for underfloor heating because it maximise the benefits of heat transfer, responsive control and eliminated voids for better conductivity.
Why liquid flow screed is the popular choice
Liquid flow screed is a flowing liquid screed that is a pump able aggregate mixture used for flooring that is self levelling and contains anhydrite that ensures a durable smooth even finish. The increased strength of liquid screed means they can be laid at a reduced depth - typically 50mm. This reduced thickness helps minimise heat storage, resulting in a floor which responds rapidly to user requirements when compared to traditional sand cement screeds. The liquid screed is produced under strict conditions to a controlled, flow able consistency to fully encompass the heating pipes, eliminating voids and no voids means greater conductivity allowing the heat to diffuse evenly in the screed. This produces a uniform heat transfer across the entire floor, heating up quicker than traditional screed.
